History of Christianity c2 WiLThere are several things that I found interesting in chapter two of The History of Christianity. One thing is a fact that there is a loop in the gospel of John, because often times in the gospel Jesus is referred to as saying “The Father and I are one “ and other times he is made to say “ The father is greater than I.” This to me doesn't make sense which makes me question the gospel of John as being possibly false, but it may be true. Another interesting fact is that while many disciples just go to another master after their master is dead, the disciples of Jesus followed him after death and sticking with him. History of Christanity c1 WiLChristianity was born in Roman Palestine by the teachings of Jesus about God and him being the creator of the world and the supreme ruler of the world. Another interesting thing about Christianity was that Alexander the Great allowed the Christians their own beliefs despite having conquered them, which I find rather interesting for a military leader to do, considering many of them attempt to control everything about everyone they conquer, yet Alexander allowed them the freedom of Religion. Much of the culture of Greek influenced early Christianity, which I never really knew until reading the first chapter of this book. EschatologyHistory of Christanity c1 WiL
